Wayne and Chris's Grand Adventure

On March 18, Wayne flew back to Memphis, where he picked up a 26 foot truck. He and Chris spent the next few days clearing out the germantown house and getting ready for their 2500 mile cross-country drive.

The first day, they pushed through to Sioux Falls where my parents were kind enough to meet them in the middle of the night to take our four cats. Blizzards extended the boys' stay in Sioux Falls, but they were so wiped out from all their hard work, they just slept their extra day in town.

From there, Wayne, Chris and Chee'nurger continued their journey. Plenty of snowy roads and closed interstates slowed their progress, but they finally made it to beautiful, and rainy, Washington.

As always, Chee was a great traveler. He held up better than his human companions!
