Hy-Vee in Sioux Falls used to be our favorite birthday cake place, but it's been bested by Safeway. When we visited Wayne for Thanksgiving, we got a Safeway layer cake for dessert. It was AMAZING! So amazing, CJ wanted to wait to get his birthday cake out here, even if it was a couple weeks late. They actually cut the cake in two so filling, frosting, fruit, or mousse can be added. We had them do butercream frosting in the middle so it was like a sheet layer cake. Super-yummy!
